Open Hand School for Applied Arts is an innovative vocational school for young adults with special needs with particular focus on entrepreneurship.
The programs are geared towards mastery of functional academics, social and community skills to enable students to become independent members of society. The specific skills thought can be math, arts, crafts and cooking.
School provides employment opportunities through their restaurant, Gourmet Gypsy Art Cafe and placement with other organizations. Chef Waya Araos-Wijangco is founder of Open Hand School for Applied Arts and also owner of the Gourmet Gypsy Art Cafe.
