What makes it a social enterprise?
In addition to being an eco-hostel, the Circle Hostel is unique in its business model. Rather than hiring its own staff and maximizing profit through offering exclusive services, the Circle Hostel instead partners with micro and small businesses in the local community on food, rentals, surfing classes, etc. Since its creation, the Circle Hostel has helped to attract more tourists and traffic to the towns it operates in while also bringing in more business to other local enterprises and boosting the economy.
The Circle Hostel is an environmentally friendly social enterprise that understands the importance of being financially sustainable, while also promoting the growth of the whole community rather than solely its own profits.
