The Happy Project PH

About the organization

The Happy Project PH is a lifestyle specialty brand that carries products that aims to spread happiness and positivity.

The idea all started when a creative duo, Chief Happiness Officers Malen de Jesus and Patrick Martin who are related as cousins, have began to explore the world as travel buddies. Being obsessive travelers about organized stuff and cleanliness, the two cousins arrange their luggage and documents with packing organizers and pouches that make them comfortable and happy while traveling with ease and peace of mind. This habit was beautifully transformed to a promising concept that will give people a daily dose of positive vibes and a functional pouch for many uses.

With a mission to uplift, encourage and inspire people, The Happy Project combines inspirational and positive statements with functional novelty items.

What makes it a social enterprise?

Aside from spreading happiness, The Happy Project PH works hand in hand with the differently-abled members of our community with a goal to fully integrate them as members of our society. This is being done by providing leadership training, personality development, empowerment and equal employment opportunities. Each Happy Product is skillfully made by the hands of the Persons With Disability work force from the DSWD National Vocational and Rehabilitation Center. Every purchase provides support and empowerment to these talented individuals.

The partnership with the Department of Social Welfare and Developmentā€™s National Vocational and Rehabilitation Center (DSWD - NVRC) allowed The Happy Project PH to continuously create endless opportunities to its growing pool of differently-abled officers, and more than anything, has provided a bigger vision for their lives. Also each employee of The Happy Project PH is graduated in their training courses in DSWD - NVRC.
