Youth at Venture Philippines

About the organization

Youth at Venture is a development program of the mother organization Child at Venture and strives for a world where disadvantaged young people build an independent life through entrepreneurship. To introduce young people to entrepreneurship Youth at Venture has put together an entrepreneurship program in which future entrepreneurs receive guidance in developing a business plan.

The entrepreneurship program takes place in the Entrepreneurial Centres, located in the middle of the slums. The organization conducts a holistic, free 15-month entrepreneurship program for determined and enterprising youth of ages 15 to 24 years. The program includes 15 days of business skills training, guided business planning, start-up capitalization, business establishment assistance and business coaching for a period of one year during the Youth Entrepreneur’s business start-up year.

The intended outcome of the program is to develop enterprising yet disadvantaged youth to become actual youth entrepreneurs with a sustainable business that shall allow them to steadily improve their income level, thus giving them access to further opportunities for improving the youths’ and their families’ living standards.

The Entrepreneurial Centre in the slum in Manila Pasay is run by the local Youth at Venture Philippines team.
