Bagong Payatas Community Ventures Inc. (TRESE)

About the organization

TRESE is a social enterprise that offers silk-screen printing and sewing services and operates out of the Gawad Kalinga village of Payatas 13. It was originally established out of a livelihood program that engaged out-of-school youth and women to silk-screen and sew t-shirts, but has since expanded to include made-to-order silk screened items.

TRESE offers silk-screening and printing services to a number of other social enterprises such as Human Nature and Suelas shoes. TRESE is also Human Nature’s first and oldest social enterprise partner, and produces all Human Nature merchandise (such as shirts, tote bags, etc.). The organization also supports other social enterprises by providing education and training on silk-screen printing methods to start-up social businesses.

All TRESE products are proudly sewn and silkscreened by the skillful hands of residents in the community.
