About the organization
Caritas Margins is a non-stock, non-profit organisation established in 2011. They work with micro-entrepreneurs to create various products like food, artwork, accessories, home and personal care, religious items, and other handcrafted pieces while helping to eradicate poverty.
Caritas Margins exists to help micro-entrepreneurs from marginalised communities sell and market their products, while providing valuable skills training and livelihood opportunities to help uplift the quality of life of marginalised peoples all over the Philippines.
To date, a total of 32,937 marginalised people have acquired livelihood skills from the skills training provided, which have been put to practical use in their products and services.

What makes it a social enterprise?
When you purchase a Caritas Margins product, you help fund the Youth Servant Leadership and Education Program, a program helping low-income aspiring scholars. Every purchase also provides livelihood to hundreds of micro-entrepreneurs all over the Philippines.
YSLEP aims to support underprivileged youth complete who are either aiming to complete their undergraduate degree or a technical-vocational course with a nationwide leadership formation program to ensure that the graduates would become servant leaders and give back to their communities.
YSELP operates under Caritas Manila, the leading social arm of the Archdiocese of Manila and the integrator of the Church social services and development in Metro Manila.
